hunger

"The primitive man had to fight everyday NOT to be hungry and the modern man has to fight everyday to be hungry..." --Dorian "Doc" Paskowtiz; actually paraphrased from one of his sons in the film, Surfwise.

I mean this in both the food sense & emotional drive kind of way.

By my "simple man" standards, most middle class Americans live in excessive comfort, which is slowly and insidously killing us spiritually & physiologically. there is no will to survive cuz it's already given (to most people).
[add examples of spiritually dying of pysiologically dying slow]

Adversity builds character. Seek growth not comfort. Growth comes from struggle. And that is why I value the struggle. There are those that are too lazy (comfortable in complacency) to push themselves out of their routine way of thinking and try to understand what I'm trying to say. But I'm saying it anyway, even if just for myself to read in the future. peace. I wish I would spend more to really articulate my thoughts more clearly. but i, too, am lazy.

Blogging for the Sake of Blogging

What is this? What am I doing? oh! I'm blogging! It's been a while... Blogging... it means different things to different people. I forget why it is I do this. Maybe it's to rant, but with a general focus. Whatever.... I'm getting over the flu and am in bed wasting time on the internet...so why not blah...-og. BLAH-g. I can't take credit for that one; I got that from Sharon Payumo.

Anyway,
I'm too lazy to do this. Well, it not that's I'm lazy (OK maybe a little bit lazy)...It's just when I'm writing I consider:

1) audience
2) purpose/ the message I want to get accross to that particular audience and
3) HOW.. that is, i ask myself what is the best to get THIS MESSAGE across to THESE PEOPLE

It's the writer's triangle!

I usually know my purpose or WHAT I want to say; the problem comes when I consider my audience...

My audience on this BLOG consists of a wide variety of peoples: Martial Artists, Educators, Professional Writers, Atheletes and people who are interested in ALL of the above and who are random and wacky as I am.

Tone takes an entirely different direction when you're taking to a kickboxer and when you're conversing with an English Teacher.

My point is...I don't have one!

Well, I'm gonna take a nap now. haha... I think everyone can relate to that-- resting when you're tired and flu-stricken! peace.
